Whalley Team

It’s been another busy year for Whalley Home Improvements with homeowners continuing to enhance and extend to make the best of their living space.

With a team of more than 20 skilled craftsmen, founders Emma Hodgkinson and Graham Fielden have completed many prestigious projects throughout the Ribble Valley and beyond.

Working alongside leading manufacturers, including Ultraframe’s globally renowned roof system, as well as being a trusted installer for Rockdoor, Whalley Home Improvements offers the best in window and door fitting as well as building construction, with a full project management service.

“We can produce CAD drawings so the client can see what the end result will look like.”

Within the business Emma is the first point of contact for clients. She has many years’ experience in the industry, having worked for world-leading manufacturer Ultraframe in Clitheroe. Emma sees each project through from concept to completion: “I get involved right at the beginning and check that each phase is progressing well, seeing the project through to the very end.”

From initial consultation to delivering a warranty pack and a ‘thank-you’ to customers once the project is complete, Emma is at the forefront working alongside sales advisor and experienced designer Martin Bentley.

Having worked together at Ultraframe for seven years, Emma and Martin have a wealth of product knowledge and can advise on everything from construction to design and décor.

“We can produce CAD drawings so the client can see what the end result will look like. We can discuss whether aluminium or PVC would suit their project best or help them choose between bi-fold or French doors in a new orangery or kitchen extension,” explains Emma.

“We have a really experienced, skiled team here at Whalley Home Improvements, and they are extremely familiar with all products.”

Martin’s role is to processes customer enquiries and meet them to discuss in detail their requirements: “At Whalley Home Improvement we have a lot of freedom and flexibility with our products as we are not tied to any one manufacturer, so we can procure the very best quality. We are not restricted so this ensures every customer gets exactly what they want at the best possible price.”

From initial contact to final fitting, the experienced, knowledgeable team makes sure all projects are finished to the highest of standards and that customers are fully satisfied.

Being fully CORGI Fenestration registered, Whalley Home Improvement is also Quality Mark Protected, meaning all work carried out has a full insurance backed guarantee ensuring that each and every customer has peace of mind.

Whalley Home Improvements can also now offer finance with Ideal4Finance making all the products or services they offer, more accessible.

The team works on varying projects from fitting windows and doors of all different styles and materials, to orangery construction and extensions. They have also worked on listed buildings, which require bespoke wooden windows and doors.

“We have a really experienced, skilled team here at Whalley Home Improvements and they are extremely familiar with all products,” explains Emma.

Over the years, Whalley Home Improvements has worked on a variety of different projects.

They have replaced polycarbonate roofing on numerous conservatories that tend to be too cold to use in winter and too warm in summer. Replacing the roof not only gives the conservatory a new look, it can also be used all year round.

Emma adds: “This dilemma is fairly typical. Many homeowners find that the temperature varies too much with the old-style polycarbonate roof – the latest Ultraframe roof system provides a perfect solution to this.”

Whalley Home Improvements also recently completely replaced an old conservatory with a stunning glass garden room at a cottage in Bolton-by-Bowland and the team also replaced all the windows and installed new doors to transform a 1940’s semi-detached home in the Ribble Valley.

With many happy customers, Whalley Home Improvements has forged a reputation for attention to detail and keeping clients up to date on the progress of their project.

Emma meticulously keeps ahead of the game, calling in to see clients checking that the work is on time and on budget. As one happy customer recently said: “I was impressed with the reviews on Whalley Home Improvements’ website – and looking back, yes, they really were that good!”
